One injured in Yerevan gas explosion

A gas explosion took place in a apartment building in Yerevan today.

At 11:00, Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations received an alarm that the sound of an explosion had been heard near the entrance to one of the homes on Aghbyur Serob Street.

A firefighting-rescue squad of the Yerevan Rescue Department left for the scene, News.am reported.

According to preliminary data, an explosion took place due to gas accumulation in the kitchen of one of the homes. The 26-year-old resident was transferred to Armenia Medical Center.
