About 200 children took part in the first All-Russian open charity training in Vladikavkaz, Lilia Molodozhenya, representative of the Children's Sports Development Support Fund "Sport starts with children" said.
"The main goal of the action was to involve the public to the need to develop children's sports, to instill in children a healthy lifestyle. Now it is especially necessary to support talented children of athletes from low-income families on their way", TASS quotes her.
Molodozhenya specified that the organizers plan to hold similar events in the future.
The #ChildrenSports training was held in the Central Park of Culture and Leisure named after Kosta Khetagurov. Athletes held open training sessions and demonstrations in taekwondo, hand-to-hand combat, aikido, boxing and other sports for children from six years old.
