Thanks to the measures on optimization of state institutions of Dagestan, taken in the framework of priority development project 'Whitening of the economy', in 2015 the republic managed to save budgetary funds amounting to 3.1 billion rubles, the Ministry of Economic Development of Dagestan reported.
In total, the region abolished 8 public institutions, another 50 were reorganized. In addition, 107 employees of the executive branch were dismissed, another 343 staff units have been optimized in the administrations of municipalities.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development of Dagestan, Rayudin Yusufov, called the reduction of civil servants a necessary measure in today's challenging economic environment. "In accordance with the decree of the head of the republic, within three years we will reduce the number of civil servants by 15%. It is more than 4000 people. The savings from this will amount to about 45 million rubles per year," RIA Dagestan quotes him as saying.
