Over 1,000 planes to be supplied to Russian air companies by 2030

More than 1,000 planes are expected to be supplied to Russian air companies by 2030, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said on Thursday.

"Aircraft-building companies said they can supply more than 1,000 civil aviation aircraft by 2030, concurrently substituting foreign-made components by Russian ones and overhauling production where necessary," he said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

According to Manturov, it is planned to manufacture 142 SSJ New planes with the increased number of Russian-made components, 270 MC-21 planes, 70 Il-114-300 and 70 Tu-214 planes, and 12 Il-96-300 aircraft.

He also said that it is also planned to supply more than 760 helicopters by 2030, including 200 Ansan and more than 270 Mi-8 rotorcraft, TASS reported.

It means that that the program of state civil order, which was endorsed in late 2021, is quite topical. Amid the wide-scale anti-Russian sanctions, the United States and Europe suspended supplies of Airbus and Boeing aircraft to Russia in the spring of 2022 and refused to provide technical maintenance services. They also suspended current leasing contracts.
