A meeting on Syria in Astana was needed, as there is no other way to solve the crisis, except of negotiations, the Foreign Minister of France, Jean-Marc Eyraud said.
According to him, it was extremely difficult to gather all the opposition forces, but it became possible, due to the initiative of Russia, Turkey and Iran. As a result of the meeting, a resolution on the cease-fire was signed, Eyraud said after a meeting with the new German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel in Paris.
