The Armenian Prime Minister is doubtful about the need for Russian bases on the territory of Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan made a corresponding statement in an interview with Western media.
The head of the Armenian government unexpectedly commented on the situation with the 102nd Russian military base, which is stationed in Gyumri (Shirak region).
According to the Wall Street Journal, Nikol Pashinyan said that the Armenian side is currently looking for new partners. Yerevan does so because Moscow failed to fulfill its obligations as an ally.
The Prime Minister of Armenia clarified that the Armenian side has decided to diversify its ties in the field of security.
