According to the National Security Service of Armenia, Gevork Loretsyan, deputy minister of education, science, culture and sport, was taken into custody. Loretsyan is accused of bribery on a particularly large scale.
The investigation assumes that Loretsyan helped a certain supplier win tenders for the sale of sports equipment to state sports and educational institutions, Sputnik-Armenia reports.
“The detainees are under indictment, the court chose arrest as a preventive measure,” National Security Service reports.
