Georgian Patriarch Ilia II congratulated the Russian Patriarch Kirill on the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the title of Russian patriarch.
Ilia II noted that despite the harsh political situation between Georgia and Russia, "our churches keep friendly relations”.
Patriarch Ilia II added that it is natural that the state and spiritual leaders should both serve to people even though they have their own fields of action, Agenga,ge reported.
