Today the Patriarch of Moscow and All-Russia Kirill noted the importance of Kabardino-Balkaria in Russia when consecrating the Cathedral of Mary Magdalene in Nalchik.
‘‘We are together about half a millennium, and these were not artificially created conditions for our living: together we went through war and starvation, misery and shock. Not so many nations, particularly in Europe, have such experience. Kabardino Balkaria is a precious pearl of the Russian crown," Tass cites him as saying.
