Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Rus’ sent Archbishop of Makhachkala and Grozny Varlaam and the congregation the letter with condolences in connection with the gunmen attack at the church in Grozny.
According to him, the gunmen attack at the church is an attempt to break the interreligious peace.
"With great sorrow, I received news of the gunmen attack on the Archangel Michael Church in the capital of Chechnya that took place last Saturday, as a result of which people were killed and injured. This inhuman and cynical raid of terrorists who have nothing to do with faith in God, was aimed at shaking a valuable interreligious peace and harmony in the region, sow enmity and fear among its inhabitants, " the letter reads.
