Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has held several bilateral meetings with his CIS (the Commonwealth of Independent States) colleagues yesterday, the Russian Security Council press service said.
"[Patrushev] and Chief of Azerbaijan’s presidential staff Ramiz Mehdiyev have discussed the prospects of cooperation between various ministries and agencies of Russia and Azerbaijan, counterterrorism issues, as well as the legal status of the Caspian Sea," the message informs.
Patrushev also discussed strengthening border control between Russia and Tajikistan with Tajikistan’s Security Council Secretary Abdurahim Qahhorov. The officials signed a cooperation plan between Russian and Tajik Security Councils for the years 2019-2020.
"The two-year cooperation plan between the Security Councils has also been signed by Patrushev and Armenia’s Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan. The parties also discussed the issues of military and technical cooperation," TASS cited the press service as saying.
The Russian official also discussed security issues with Moldova’s security chief Artur Gumeniuc and Belarusian Security Council Secretary Stanislav Zas.
