Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in an interview with reporters, spoke about the talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, which took place in Sochi.
He noted that the parties reached an agreement on the start of the transition to ruble settlements when paying for gas supplies.
"Of course, there was one good thing about my visit to Sochi: we agreed on the ruble transactions with Mr Putin. This will, of course, bring money to Russia and Turkey as a separate source between Turkey and Russia at a financial point, "Anadolu Agency quotes him as saying.
The Turkish leader also spoke about the signing of a road map for economic cooperation, which involves an increase in trade turnover between the countries to $100 bln.
"Earlier we stated that our goal in trade is $100 bln. We want to develop our cooperation in such areas as energy, trade, tourism and agriculture," the head of the republic said.
