A case against Russian Senator Rauf Arashukov is not a one-time effort but of daily fight against corruption, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"This is no one-time campaign, it is planned systematic daily work fighting corruption, violations of law," the Prime news agency cited the spokesman as saying.
Rauf Arashukov was detained on January 30 on suspicion of participation in a crime group, murder of two people and pressure on a witness.
His father Raul Arashukov, advisor to CEO of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz, is accused of being a founder of a crime group and participant of gas theft. The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has already arrested Rauf and Raul, their relatives and friends who held top positions at gas enterprises in the North Caucasus.
