Corruption in Russia remains a problem, but the struggle against it is continuing systematically and transparently, the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"There have been steady and consistent onward actions to fight corruption. They are obvious, absolutely transparent and well-known," TASS cited him as saying.
According to him, investigative actions over corruption matters are in progress in relation to both high-ranking officials and lower level civil servants. Peskov also recalled measures to perfect anti-corruption legislation.
"It would be wrong to ignore the results of that work. Very strenuous work is in progress in that connection," Peskov said.
