Petkim increases production capacity

The Turkish holding Petkim, in which the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has an equity stake of 61.32%, will increase production capacity before the end of 2015.

"The holding will invest $50 million to increase production by 150,000 tons from the enterprise’s current capacity of 3.2 million tons a year," abc.az cited Petkim’s CEO Sadettin Korkut as saying.

These plans will increase production capacity up to 3.6 million tons a year in the next 2-3 years.

Petkim is the only Turkish producer of PVC, plastic containers, PVC and detergents.
