Phone thief caught in Cherkessk

A cell phone thief was caught by police in Cherkessk, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Karachay-Cherkessia informs.

The crime was committed on January 5. A freshman of the city lyceum №5 applied to the department. She said that an unknown person stole her mobile phone at a store at Magazinnaya Street 16. The girl estimated the cost of the gadget at 26,000 rubles.

During operational activities, law enforcement officers established that the crime was committed by a 41-year-old local resident, who eventually confessed.

The telephone was seized. The suspect gave a written undertaking not to leave the city.
