The plenipotentiary representative of the Russian President to the North Caucasus Federal District, Sergey Melikov, will take financing of the winning projects of the North Caucasian Youth Forum 'Mashuk-2015' under his personal control, the press service of the plenipotentiary representative reported.
"Every penny counts in the current economic situation. And the budget funds directed at grant competition could be directed, for example, at equipping schools. So I would like to ask the heads of the regions to be serious about this. I personally will check how much and for what purpose it is being spent," the press service quotes Melikov as saying, SKFO.ru reports.
The regional authorities will have to provide Sergey Melikov with detailed grants expenditure reports. In addition, they will have to confirm target spending of funds on youth initiatives with documentary evidence.
