Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held a telephone conversation with the head of the US State Department, Mike Pompeo, during which the parties discussed the situation in Syria.
Lavrov stressed the need to refrain from steps that undermine the territorial integrity of the country. The conversation was initiated by the American side.
