President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov discussed the issues of diversification of gas supplies to Ukraine and the possible involvement of Kiev and Astana in the Economic Zone Silk Road.
"Special attention was paid to the development of transport infrastructure for the transportation of goods from Asia to Europe via Kazakhstan and Ukraine in the framework of 'the Silk Road Economic Belt' along the Western Europe-Western China route," TASS cited the press service of the Ukrainian president as saying.
Petro Poroshenko is on a two-day visit in Astana, he will meet with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on October 9.
