Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko discussed in a telephone conversation the preparations for the official visit of the Ukrainian president to Astana in the autumn.
"The two sides agreed to intensify preparations for Petro Poroshenko's official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan at the invitation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, planned for the autumn of this year," the press service of the Ukrainian President said.
The Ukrainian President congratulated his Kazakh counterpart on the completion of negotiations on Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO, adding that it opens up broad prospects for bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
"The two sides also discussed issues of bilateral economic cooperation, particularly in the aircraft industry," the press service said.
The Ukrainian president also told Nazarbayev about the situation in the Donbass, Interfax reports.
