A decision on the resumption of flights to Egypt can only be made by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the head of the Federal Tourism Agency, Oleg Safonov, stated today.
"Temporary restrictions on air service with the Arab Republic of Egypt were introduced by the President of the Russian Federation. The Federal Tourism Agency is not a department that is competent in these matters. And since the President made the decision to temporarily cease flights between the two countries, then, perhaps, there should also be a different decision on permission," Safonov said, TASS reports.
