Pope Francis will visit Azerbaijan on October 2 and Georgia from September 30 to October 2, the Holy See Press Office said.
The visit to Azerbaijan will start with a holy mass at the church of the Immaculate in the Salesian Centre in Baku.
Pontiff is also scheduled to meet with the country’s leadership, the leadership of the Caucasian Muslims Office, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Jewish community in Azerbaijan.
Before his visit to Azerbaijan, Pope Francis will visit Georgia, where he will also meet with the leadership and representatives of the country’s clergy, Trend reports.
