Armenian law enforcement officers detained a man who, according to investigators, shot at a prosecutor near the courthouse in Yerevan. The suspect was taken into custody.
A suspect in the attempted murder of a prosecutor, which was committed on October 18, was detained and arrested in Yerevan, the Investigative Committee of Armenia informs.
The Committee also announced new details of the crime: a 55-year-old man was injured as a result of the shooting. He was hospitalized, there is no threat to his life. It is not specified whether the victim is the prosecutor himself or not.
The investigators reconstructed the course of events. The detainee, a 40-year-old man, bought a Baikal-442 pistol in advance. On the day of the assassination attempt, when a trial was to take place, the suspect and his accomplice went to court. There, he noticed the victim, approached and fired four shots. The suspect then fled.
