Law enforcement officers have used tear gas and water cannon to disperse a protest at the editorial offices of the opposition newspaper Zaman in Istanbul, media report.
Earlier, a local court appointed trustees to manage the publication, but according to the journalists’ opinion, this will lead to its closure. A few hours later, law enforcement officers raided the newspaper offices, and the trustees appointed by the government spoke about confiscation of the newspaper’s property, Interfax cites the BBC.
