Protesters break into Presidential office in Sri Lanka

Protestors demanding the resignation of Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa broke into his residence in Colombo. The presidential guard failed to stop the crowd, although the police used tear gas and fired into the air.

Today, thousands of people took to the streets of the capital of Sri Lanka demanding the resignation of Rajapaksa. During the clashes between police and protesters, 32 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were injured.
