The signing of the agreement on withdrawal of weapons of less than 100mm caliber from the contact line in eastern Ukraine may mean the end of the war, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin stated.
"A meeting of the contact group and two subgroups was held. The subgroup on security recieved a laborious document. Yesterday, it was signed by the representatives of Russia, the OSCE and Ukraine. Half an hour ago, it was signed by (Head of DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko. After that, the document comes into force, and it may, in my opinion, indicate the end of this war," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
In connection with this, Pushilin expressed hope that "all local clashes with small arms will be quickly localized and stopped."
