Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Kremlin reported on its website.
The Kazakh leader expressed his condolences over the tragic death of Russian service personnel aboard the Il-20 aircraft shot down in Syria.
During the talks the parties discussed key items on the bilateral agenda, future cooperation within Eurasian integration frameworks, as well as topical international issues and the schedule of upcoming contacts.
The conversation was held at Kazakhstan’s initiative.
