Putin appoints new members to Russian Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a decree amending the composition of the Russian Security Council, the Kremlin press service said.

The new composition of the Security Council includes the new head of the Kremlin administration, Anton Vaino, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District, Sergei Menyailo, and the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North-West Federal District, Nikolai Tsukanov.

The deputy secretary of the Security Council, Rashid Nurgaliyev, was excluded from the list of permanent members of the Council.

The Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, Oleg Belavenetsev, and the head of the Federal Customs Service, Vladimir Bulavin, remained the members of the Security Council, as well as Sergei Ivanov, who was appointed the special presidential envoy for environmental activity, ecology and transport, Interfax reports.
