Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Russia.
"A substantive political dialogue is being maintained between Russia and Armenia, fruitful cooperation is developing in trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and many other areas", the telegram, published on Sunday on the Kremlin's website, says.
The Russian leader noted that Moscow and Yerevan are coordinating efforts within the framework of the CSTO, the EurAsEC, the CIS and other international structures. "The consistent implementation of the trilateral agreements reached in 2020 and 2021 contributes to the strengthening of security and stability in the South Caucasus region", the congratulation says.
Putin expressed confidence that "further strengthening of friendly, allied Russian-Armenian ties meets the fundamental interests" of the peoples of both countries. He wished the president and the prime minister of the republic good health and success, and "peace and prosperity" to the citizens of the country.
The memorandum on the establishment of Russia-Armenia diplomatic relations was signed on April 3, 1992.
