On Tuesday, January 2, the outstanding Soviet and Russian choreographer, People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Grigorovich celebrates his 94th birthday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent him a congratulatory letter. "Dear Yuri Nikolaevich! Please accept my warmest birthday greetings. A man of great and generous talent, you have dedicated yourself to the art of choreography, increased the glory of Russian ballet with your lofty, inspired creativity," the message published on the Kremlin website reads.
