Russian President Vladimir Putin laid flowers at St. Petersburg’s Tekhnologichesky Institut metro station late on Monday rocked by a blast earlier in the day.
The president laid a bunch of scarlet roses at the site where the city’s residents leave flowers in memory of those killed in the terror attack, TASS reported.
"Vladimir Putin arrived at the entrance way to the Tekhnologichesky Institut metro station where he laid flowers in memory of those killed in today’s metro blast," Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
According to the National Anti-terrorist Committee, the blast claimed 11 lives, 45 more were injured.
