Rosselkhoznadzor found that the quality of Russian honey became much worse over the course of the last year, a message posted on the website of the ministry stated.
In the course of the state monitoring, 119 samples of honey were taken in the past year, of which 13% contained metabolites of nitrofurans. This is two times higher than in 2014. Nitrofurans are not allowed to be used for productive animals, including honeybees.
