The head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, Ramiz Mehdiyev, said today that the Azerbaijani leadership has always been committed to a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, but as was noted earlier by President Ilham Aliyev, Baku "cannot participate in the negotiations for the sake of negotiations."
In this regard, Mehdiyev noted that Yerevan has ignored all calls for peace and organize provocations along the contact line in Karabakh, firing at settlements.
For this reason, Azerbaijan continued the economic blockade of Armenia up to the settlement of the conflict. "We will also firmly respond to any provocations on the contact line and we don't intend to accept the occupation of our territories," azertag.az cites him as saying.
