Russia has introduced state control over religious organizations with foreign funding. The corresponding decree was signed by President of Russia Vladimir Putin. From now on, if a religious organization has been receiving the money or property of the non-Russian sources for at least one year , it is obliged to report to the Ministry of Justice.
The relevant report of its activities and funding of such organizations are required to be publish in the media or on the Internet. The Ministry of Justice, in turn, has the right to arrange for checks on such religious organizations as the agency is authorized to inspect the organization suspected of violations of the Russian law
