Last year’s volume of remittances to Uzbekistan was equal to the level of 2019 and amounted to $ 6,03 bln, the report of the country’s Central Bank reads.
"The volume of the cross-border transfers to Uzbekistan in 2020 amounted to $ 6,03 bln, an increase compared to 2019 ($ 6,01b) by $ 17,4 mln, or 0.3%," the regulator said in a statement. It is clarified that this amount exceeds the country's revenues from gold exports, which amounted to $ 5,8 bln last year.
There is a decrease in the level of remittances from Russia and an increase from Turkey, the USA, the Republic of Korea, Israel and a number of other countries, gazeta.uz informs.
