A newly built multi-storey residential complex for 1,170 IDP families was opened in the Tartar district of Azerbaijan, the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza reported. The opening ceremony was attended by foreign diplomatic representatives accredited in Azerbaijan, heads of international organizations and media representatives.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, Ali Hasanov, said that over the last 16 years, 97 settlements for IDPs have been built, which are equipped with social infrastructure facilities, schools, hospitals, in general more than 53 thousand refugees were resettled in these settlements.
The guests also viewed the newly reconstructed Maraga-150 monument in Shikharkh village, which exposes the territorial claims of Armenia against Azerbaijan.
