Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree approving the law that envisages amendments to the law on labor pension.
The retirement age will be raised to 65 years within 4 years for men and 10 years for women. In other words retirement age will increase annually by 6 months per year till 2021 for men and till 2027 for women, APA reported.
The proposed amendments provide an increase in retirement age for holders of all professions, except for police and military personnel. In addition, the law reflects an increase in seniority for civil servants from 15 to 20 years, for prosecutors from 25 to 35 years and for holders of other professions for 5 years.
