So, newtimes.az reports that the First European Games successfully started in the capital of Azerbaijan, and showed all the world the extensive work of the country since the Eurovision Song Contest was held by Azerbaijan.
In an article 'Biased policy of the West and the tactical victory of Baku,' the author draws attention to the fact that the European anti-Azerbaijani campaign, organized by some Western circles, failed on the threshold of the start of the Games.
The article notes that it was the efforts of German Chancellor Angela Merkel that influenced almost all European countries, as many EU leaders did not attend the opening ceremony of the First European Games.
