"Right-hand drive cars won't be registered in Georgia starting next year

The ban on the registration of right-hand drive cars in Georgia will be delayed until January 2017, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Shalva Khutsishvili stated.

"We specifically did not hurry with the consideration of the initiative, so that all the parties involved could take part in the discussion, and in order to continue consultations. However, one decision has been made on the basis of consultations with the auto importers: a ban on the registration of RHD vehicles will be introduced in January of next year," Khutsishvili said during the broadcast of 'Rustavi-2' TV channel, Sputnik Georgia reports.
