Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo is the new owner of the one-off Bugatti La Voiture Noire, reportedly the most expensive car ever built, a Spanish sports paper has reported.
The Portuguese striker has reportedly spent 11 million euros on the unique Bugatti which was first presented to the world at the Geneva Motor Show 2019.
But he will not be able to drive the car until 2021 as the company still needs to finalize some small details on the prototype, according to reports.
The car is powered by an 8.0-litre turbocharged W16 engine and can reach 260mph.
According to Forbes' ranking of the 100 highest-paid athletes in the world, Ronaldo earns approximately $61 million in salary and winnings and $47 million in endorsements each year, for a total of $108 million.
