Assistant to the Head of Rosselkhoznadzor Alexey Alekseyenko has said that now the agency is examining Turkish producers, as it is expected their cheeses are to be delivered to Russian stores.
According to him, experts are watching the situation in the eastern part of the country, as outbreaks of foot and mouth disease have been reported there.
Alekseyenko said that it is impossible not to use import production, but Rosselkhoznadzor takes all measures to achieve this aim, Tass reports.
