The head of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, named the cities and sights of the region that travellers should visit.
"I recommend visiting Taganrog, Starocherkassk, Azov, Starozolotovsky farm, Cossack villages, including Sholokhov's homeland," RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
According to the governor, tourists should visit the wineries of the Don Valley, the Donskoy natural park, the Loga park, Tanais, and travel along the Golden Ring of the Bosporus Kingdom interregional route, visit the banks of the Don and the Seversky Donets, and Belaya Kalitva.
