The head of the Federal Tourism Agency, Oleg Safonov, believes Dagestan and the Far East have great potential for the development of beach tourism in Russia.
"We have sites that may be very interesting from the viewpoint of beach tourism: Dagestan, the Caspian Sea, Kaliningrad and the Far East,'' Safonov said, noting that now infrastructure problems prevent the development of these regions, Tass reports.
