Tehran will not abandon its missiles, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday (September 22), in a speech carried live by state television that marked the start of the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war, Reuters reported.
“Iran will not abandon its defensive weapons,” Rouhani said, adding that the U.S.’s protest of Iran’s missile programme means it was appreciated “more than ever before.”
