The Iranian people said ‘no’ "to all those who want to stop Iran and return it back," President Hassan Ruhani said in the first after his re-election address to his fellow citizens.
"The elections became a message of the Iranian nation to the whole world, that it chooses the way of interaction and rejection of hostility. Our people want to live in peace and friendship with everyone, but do not accept threats and humiliations. This is the essence of Iranians’ message, which as they expect will be heard and correctly perceived by all countries, especially by our neighbors and world powers.Our elections demonstrated to the region that the way to strengthen regional security lies through the development of democracy and respect for the will of the people, and not through the relying on external forces, " the president stressed.
