The Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of Russia Maria Lvova-Belova appealed to the UN in connection with the persecution of Russian and Russian-speaking children abroad, the website of the children's ombudsman reads.
In her statement to the UN representative Michelle Bachelet, she reported on the numerous facts of discrimination against children in a number of countries on the basis of nationality.
“At present, I receive information about harassment, attacks and other forms of undue influence on Russian and Russian-speaking children with alarming regularity,” Lvova-Belova said, recalling the anti-Russian campaign in the media.
