Russian law enforcement agencies carry out inspections and detention of people arriving from Syria, the head of the Federal Agency for the Affairs of Nationalities Igor Barinov said.
According to him, this is done in order to understand which of the visitors participated in clashes on the side of terrorists and may bring dangerous ideas to Russia.
Igor Barinov noted that most Syrians are going to the republics of the North Caucasus: Dagestan, Chechnya and Ingushetia, gazeta.ru reports.
