The Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, has said that the country respects the sovereignty of Syria and opposes the creation of a no-fly zone in this state.
According to him, the proposal is not based on the UN Charter or international law. In addition, the deputy foreign minister drew attention to the fact that Russia does not intend to carry out ground operations in Syria.
