Today Gazprom issued an invoice to 'Naftogaz Ukraine' for gas unselected by the Ukrainian company in the third quarter of 2015 on the condition "take-or-pay".
The minimum annual amount of gas in the third quarter amounted to 10.485 billion cubic meters of gas. Taking this into account, as well as the volume of gas supplied to Ukraine for this period, 'Naftogaz' has to pay 2.549 billion dollars Interfax cited the report of the company.
"In 2015 Ukraine basically refused to buy Russian gas in the third quarter, thus, no agreement on non-use of the rule "take-or-pay" was made in this period," the head of Gazprom Alexey Miller stated.
