During the second meeting of the Executive Committee of the European Olympic Committee (EOC) in the Spanish city of Tarragona, Russia may receive the right to host the Second European Games in May 2019, a member of the executive committee of the EOC, Alexander Kozlovsky, stated at the end of the first meeting of the organization in 2016, which took place in Lausanne.
"The first meeting of the EOC was very constructive, and after it I can say that Russia is the main candidate for the Second European Games. Despite the scandal regarding doping they had a friendly attitude to our country. Therefore, we expect that in the coming months the host of the Second European Games will finally be determined," Tass cites Kozlovsky as saying.
